As of June 24, 2024, eight statewide ballot measures have been certified for the November ballot.
The New Mexico State Legislature voted to send three constitutional amendments to the ballot related to property tax exemptions for veterans, the state judicial nominating commission, and county officers' salaries.
The state legislature also voted to send four bond measures totaling $290.6 million to the ballot.
A total of 125 ballot measures appeared on statewide ballots between 1994 and 2022. One hundred and three (103) ballot measures were approved, and 22 ballot measures were defeated.

Jan 2024-U.S. District Court judge's decision blocks portions of the public health order that would suspend the right to carry firearms in many public parks in the Albuquerque area, with appeals pending before a higher court.

Oct 11- Judge allows part of the revised order to stand, prohibiting firearms at parks and playgrounds.

- HB 4 VOTING RIGHTS PROTECTIONS. Would expand use of drop boxes and automatically send ballots to voters on a PERMANENT absentee voter list.
- HB 7 -REPRODUCTIVE & GENDER-AFFIRMING HEALTH CARE - "A public body or agent of a public body shall not, directly or indirectly, deny, restrict or interfere with a person's ability to access or provide reproductive health care or gender-affirming health care within the medical standard of care. " Civil penalties for violations.
- SB 13 - REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PROVIDER PROTECTIONS - Protects providers, recipients etc. engaging in "reproductive and gender affirming healthcare"

As part of the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency’s push for more affordable housing, home buyers with good credit scores will be forced to pay additional fees on their mortgages. Starting on May 1, the federally backed mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will establish new loan-level price adjustments with private banks nationwide. Those additional fees will be used to subsidize home buyers with risky credit scores.
